Every year, more than 600,000 students try to secure CROUS housing before the start of the academic year. Competition is fierce, spots are limited, and the application process often intimidates first-time applicants. However, success depends on just one thing: preparation.
This guide covers CROUS programs, rent scales, and official financial aid (CAF, CVEC, Action Logement) published for the 2026–2027 academic year.
Whether you’re a student aged 18 to 25 or a parent looking to secure your child’s first housing, here’s everything you need to know to approach the 2026–2027 academic year with confidence.
